Events — Bluebell Bulbs For Mum

30/03/2019 until 30/03/2019

Spring Bulbs for Mam and Trees for Princess Anne

Shoppers at the Galleries Washington can make a special Mother’s Day gift this Saturday as the Shopping Centre goes green to coincide with Earth Hour.

Children can wrap Bluebell bulbs and create a special label with a message for their mums between 10am and 4pm during the free event on Saturday 30th March.

The bulbs can be given as a special gift to help attract insects into gardens or be donated to The Friends of Princess Anne Park who will be hosting a planting day on Sunday 28th April 10.30am to 12noon.

As well as the bulb planting activity, the Galleries is donating 6 flowering cherry trees to The Friends of Princess Anne Park to help offset its carbon emissions during Earth Hour.

Starting as a symbolic lights out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment, inspiring millions of people to take action for our planet and nature. One of the key actions calls for communities and businesses to switch off their lights between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

The Bluebell Bulb workshop takes place on Saturday 30th March between 10am and 4pm.
