
Shoppers welcome new store to the Galleries
Hundreds of shoppers recently flocked to the Galleries shopping centre to celebrate the official opening of the Sunderland AFC’s new store.
Manager Steve Bruce welcomed the long awaiting fans and shoppers to the store.
Players Lorik Cana, Craig Gordon and Darren Bent, also took part in meet and great signing sessions at the store.
The club’s mascots, Samson and Delilah also visited the new addition to the Galleries.
Having traded successfully for over a decade within the Sainsbury’s store at the Galleries the new store is a larger stand alone premises within the centre.
The Galleries centre manager Juliette Coard is delighted to welcome the new store to the Galleries, she said; “The new store is a welcome addition to the Galleries, I’m sure our customers will be impressed.”
Nik McDonald, SAFC’s head of group retail added; “Our aim is to create a modern, exciting shopping environment for our customers. The new store showcases our merchandise to the highest standards and allows us to build on the loyal customer base we have in the Washington area.”
