Souter Lighthouse
Opened in 1871, the lighthouse was a technological marvel, being the first built to use electricity. Decommissioned in 1988, the machinery remains in working order today and can be seen, along with stunning coastal views, after a steep walk up the 76 steps. The lighthouse is surrounded by miles of beach, cliff and grassland.
