Iceland picks up the prize for the best tenant recycler
Food retailer Iceland have shown they are top for recycling as the Galleries shopping centre awarded a £50 Galleries gift card for their efforts in recycling.
Delighted to win recycler of the month, Manager at Iceland Rob Allon is planning on treating his team with the winnings, he said;
“I was really happy to hear that we had won, we have such a high volume of waste that it is great to have the opportunity to recycle. Iceland as a company and the team are very efficient and proactive towards the recycling.
Rob added;
The incentive to recycle is a great idea especially to encourage those tenants who may not fully utilise the recycling facilities available here at the Galleries. I’m planning on treating the team with the winnings; they deserve it as they really do their best to recycle.
Delighted to hand over the gift card to Iceland, the Galleries Environment and Compliance co-ordinator, Rozeta Sefaj said;
“The team at Iceland have taken on board all of the recycling facilities available to them and have made the most of the facilities. They regularly recycle food waste, cardboard and plastic."
The incentive scheme was introduced in March to encourage tenants to utilise the recycling facilities and already we have seen an increase in the amount of recycling.”
The tenant who stands out each month for their contribution to recycling will receive a £50 Galleries gift card.
